Chelsea Yarnell is an Emmy Award-winning documentary director and producer based in Brooklyn, NY. With over a decade of experience in prestige unscripted television, she has a passion for immersive vérité filmmaking and thoughtful, character-driven storytelling. Chelsea has served as a lead creative producer and director on several critically acclaimed Netflix series, including the IDA Award-winning Last Chance U, Wrestlers (2023), and America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (2024). Notably, she developed and co-directed both seasons of Netflix’s CHEER (2020, 2022), which earned three Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program. Chelsea is a member of the Directors Guild of America and a graduate of CalArts where she studied dance and film.
